Train your model to complete the AI.Magic Game! Build a wand with an accelerometer and train your gestures to move the Onica Wizard through the game. Complete the lab in 30 minutes and win an IoTanium DevKit and t-shirt!
Instructions on screen will help set up your IoTanium AI Wand device.
Components you’ll have:
After you successfully set up your wand you will be able to move the wand around and see the real time accelerometer data on a graph.
In the capture data module, you will perform a series of wand gestures, moving through each gesture at a time. Each gesture will map to a direction you want your character to move: up, down, left, right & special action.
Data collected from your gestures mapped to each directional movement will be submitted to SageMaker to train your model, which will be displayed from a Jupyter cloud notebook.
You will get a chance to do a manual test of your model to determine if your gestures mapped to the directions you chose before moving on to the game.

The goal is to get your wizard character from point A to point B and avoid obstacles with your wand gestures. At the same time, there will be a running log of detected wand gestures. To see if your model worked, if your gesture was to move right and the log detected you moved right, and your character moved right, you’re on the right path. Watch out for those fires, use your special action gesture to put them out!
